Advocating 'Safety in Adventure'
for cable-access adventure systems.

Why spend unnecessary funds to build a zip line that
may end up costing you more money in the long run
because you failed to seek advice & consultation
from experienced professionals.

ADVISORY:
Several new operators are building zip lines with the
wrong cable. There are certain factors unique to zip lines
that must be considered when building new cable
access systems. Please talk with us before buying or
installing any cable even if you decide not to avail our
fee-based consultation service. We will freely advise
you on your cable needs.

New owners have been forced to make major renovations
to their zip lines to get them ready for certification or change
out their cables upon the realization the safety equipment
won't work on their new system.

Its not worth consideration to build a zip line
unless interested owner/operators are FULLY willing
and financially capable to invest the money
necessary to build a safe zip line.

There is a moral and ethical obligation on the part
of all owner/operators that safety is of paramount concern.

Consultation
- For New Zip Line Operators

Our consultation service can save new zip line owners P500,000 - P1 million in construction costs.

Why waste money attempting to build your own zip line without expert advice? Some people have invested P1 million into their infrastructure without considering pulley requirements and were later forced to replace their cable.

_________________

Note: If you feel the following fees are too expensive please consider that operators can easily recover these costs during their first opening weekend of operation.

AZTEC consultation fees are the best investment you'll make!

1. Design Consultation - FEE: P39,000

This service is meant to advise interested people how to build a zip line using their own contractor.

This service includes;

  • Comprehensive and detailed zip line design
  • Supportive infrastructure explanation
  • How to build an effective braking system
  • Safety equipment explanation
  • Rescue equipment orientation and overview
  • Operational protocols
  • How to source UIAA, ASTM certified safety equipment
  • Crowd control management
  • Followup advice by phone during the course of construction

Please be advised that all design consultation is done at our training facility in Davao City. We have determined it is in the best interest of potential zip line owners to observe a real operational zipline where we can more effectively explain and demonstrate everything involved to build a safe system. We recommend that new operators send their engineer, contractor or project manager to Davao whom we will advise. Notepads and a digital camera are highly recommended.

Our consultation fees are worth the investment and new operators will easily recover the cost for professional consultation we provide.. For example, the Xcelerator zip line in Davao City easily earns this much money on an average weekend. In other words, the consultation fees paid to AZTEC can be recovered within a single weekend of zip line operation.

AZTEC certification is not included with this fee

Special Package Promo:
Design Consultation combined with Training & Technical Skills Workshop is P55,000 (P4000 savings).

2. Training/Technical Skills Workshop - FEE: P20,000

Please see Training Link for more information.

3. Project Assessment - FEE: P28,000

This service is specifically designed to provide further assistance to an owner who wants to make sure that the new zip line is in fact being built by his contractor as guided by our consultation.

AZTEC can provide services to new owners involving on-site ocular inspection during actual construction. This service is limited to AZTEC clients who have participated in our design consultation. This can be discussed further during the design consultation done in Davao City.

Please be advised that this service is not to be confused with project management. AZTEC does not manage construction projects. This particular service is limited to assessing the construction at the mid-way point to ensure specific guidelines are being followed such as the 3-point connection design and appropriate anchors connecting the infrastructure.

Requirement: AZTEC requires architectural and/or engineering drawings as a prerequisite for on-site inspection. The reason for this requirement is due to the fact that we have inspected sites during construction only to discover the architects/engineers have not followed our advice during consultation. Therefore, it creates an unnecessary expense for the owner to realize the contractor is not building the infrastructure as guided.

This fee does not include travel expenses.

4. Equipment Consultation - FEE: P12,000

A list of required rider/participant safety equipment will be provided, including instructions regarding how to source and purchase from a US-based supplier.

AZTEC uses a recommended US-based equipment supplier that will provide two things;

  1. Supply your equipment needs such as pulleys, carabiners, lanyards, harnesses, etc.
  2. Custom design specific rescue equipment for your zip line/cable access system.

5. Specialized Consultation - FEE: P28,000

AZTEC offers specialized consultation and troubleshooting services to existing operators that are experiencing problems with their systems. Please contact us for to discuss further.

(Travel expenses are extra and made by arrangement)

SO HOW MUCH DOES IT REALLY COST TO BUILD A ZIPLINE?

P300,000 - 500,000 - Infrastructure inclusive of poles, cables, attachments, etc.
P300,000 - 500,000 - Rider safety equipment

  1. Price is estimated based on our experience for average zip line length of 300 meters.
  2. Contractor's fees not included.
  3. Advisory: There is no reason for a contractor to charge by the meter for a construction bid. The engineering and infrastructure requirements are basically the same whether the zip line is 100 mtrs or 500 mtrs long. The only difference is the amount of cable required and the cable diameter.
